Thousands of students walk together from campus down to Depot Market Square in downtown Bellingham for music, entertainment, food, and discounts at local businesses. Athletics: Free Admission for Students
All WWU students get free admission to regular-season home games with their Western ID, making fall athletics an accessible option throughout the quarter.
The Women's Soccer team opens its home schedule this week, hosting Northwest Nazarene on Thursday, September 17, then Central Washington University on Saturday, September 19, both at 7 p.m. at Harrington Field. The team plays again on September 24 against Montana State Billings. Men's Soccer begins home play later in October, hosting Northwest Nazarene on October 1 and Seattle Pacific University on October 3, both at Harrington.
Volleyball returns to Carver Gymnasium for home matches against Western Oregon University on October 1 and Saint Martin's University on October 3, both at 7 p.m. For basketball fans, Viking Jam on November 3 at 7 p.m. in Carver kicks off the basketball season with a community celebration open to both students and Bellingham residents. Arts and Performances This Fall
The College of Fine and Performing Arts has a strong lineup for the fall quarter. "Masks Play III: Return of the Masks" opens Friday, October 16 in the Old Main Theatre. The Sanford-Hill Piano Series brings internationally renowned pianist Aristo Sham, the 2025 Cliburn Gold Medalist, to the PAC Concert Hall on October 21 at 7:30 p.m. Shakespeare's "Macbeth" opens November 20 on the Performing Arts Center Mainstage.
The Western Gallery will host an opening reception on October 8 at 5 p.m. for "Are My Hands Clean?," an exhibition featuring the work of artist Rajkamal Kahlon. The gallery, located in the Fine Arts building on campus, is free and open to the public, making it one of the more accessible cultural venues in Bellingham for residents who are not affiliated with the university.
